I start my first ever blog with my first ever blog post. My idea for this blog is to start with some source material. Each piece of source material forms the start of a project for me, teaching colleagues at my school and hopefully the wider teaching community. Each time I find something interesting, I'm keen to see how I can use the same starting point to generate something for any student between Yr 7 and Yr 13, in any strand of the curriculum and in a way that embraces 'Life Without Levels' in UK secondary schools.
I start with dogs. The two images give detail of average life expectancy by breed and of how the term 'dog years' are loosely defined. My training as a statistician often takes me down that path and I can see plenty of possibilities there. But can I be more creative?
